About
I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
I arrived in the United States as a student 20 years ago. My medical journey began in 2008 as a research coordinator for cardiology studies at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
In 2010, I applied for a residency program in Internal Medicine in New York City. I completed my training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Weill Cornell School of Medicine.
In 2013, I moved to Orlando, where I began practicing as a primary care physician and served as Medical Director at two health centers for a private healthcare corporation.
Currently, I continue to work as a primary care physician and collaborate as a sub-investigator in the endocrinology department of a private practice.
My passion is serving my patients. I firmly believe everyone deserves the opportunity to seek alternatives for a healthier, longer, and better life.
As an immigrant and Latina, I have been educated in medicine through two worlds. I deeply understand the importance of truly connecting with your doctor.
I’m here to help you. I’m proud to carry 20 years of medical experience, including 11 years practicing as an internist.
Every day, I wake up thankful to God for being exactly where I want to be—caring for our patients.
Dr Oscarina Herrera Albornoz.
